Army has no political ambition, said Army Chief General Moeen U Ahmed yesterday.
The Army Chief also reiterated that Bangladesh Army have no intention to take state power. In this context he quoted a famous line from Rabindranath Tagore’s short story and said “Kadombini Moria Proman Korilo, Shey More Nai.”
“Army does not intend to get involved in politics of the country,” he said during a visit to diarrhoea-affected people at International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research Institute, Bangladesh (ICDDR,B) at Mohakhali in the city yesterday afternoon. [Read more]
