Terming the situation in the judiciary deplorable, Chief Justice M Ruhul Amin yesterday said this could not be solved through enactment of new laws and regulations.
Rather, it calls for self-purification of all those involved in the process of justice, including judges and lawyers, he said.
Currently someone could manage to obtain judgment in one’s favour from the higher judiciary by suppressing facts and submiting forged certified copies of subordinate court orders while there are allegation of delivering biased judgment, the Chief Justice said. [Read more]
