Major political parties join relief operation

BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has completed her preparations to start visiting the flood-affected areas beginning from Sirajganj and Tangail today despite an official advise not to do so on security ground.
Disclosing this, member of the BNP Advisory Council Brig (retd) General ASM Hannan Shah told journalists that he had contacted the Home Secretary to allow Begum Zia to visit the affected people even without official security escorts if necessary. [Read more]
