Flood water receding viral fever spreads

The overall flood situation across the country is improving, as water is receding from the flood-affected areas, particularly most parts of north and northeastern districts.
However, waterborne diseases, including diarrhoea, and viral fever are spreading in an epidemic form in those areas.
Disclosing this, a senior official of the Metrological Department yesterday predicted that the present spell of flood would end within next 10 days if the present trend continued. [Read more]
