A day labourer, who was engaged by the RAJUK in 22-storey Rangs Bhaban demolition work, fell down from the 12th floor yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Sohrab Hossain, 20, son of Mohammad Ismail Hossain of 111-West Agargaon under Kafrul thana.
Witnesses and other workers said that Sohrab fell down at about 2 pm and died on the spot He was while working at the north side of the building located at Bijoy Sarani.
Moazzem Hossain, Sohrab’s maternal uncle, said that Sohrab had been working under the supervision of sub-contractor Mofizuddin. [Read more]
