Despite somewhat improvement of flood situation in the country’s northern region with the receding of waters in major rivers, it remains unchanged in the central region, including the capital Dhaka where the situation has deteriorated further, spreading various water-borne diseases, including diarrhoea and dysentery.
At least 192 people have so far died officially in the current flooding as death incidence on rise, while millions in plight for dearth, diseases in aftermath. [Read more]
