Detained CBA leader of the T&T, Firoz Miah, on Monday was awarded 13 years imprisonment and also fined Tk one million for earning wealth illegally. He will have to suffer another jail on failure to pay the fine amount
A special court set up at the National Parliament also issued an order to atach his ill-goten properties. The court, however, acquited his wife Rawshan Ara, now absconding of the charge.
The CBA leader will have to suffer three years imprisonment for concealing information and 10 years rigorous jail for earning wealth illegally According to the verdict, both the sentences will run consecutively. [Read more]
