Responding to the appeal of the Chief Adviser of the caretaker government and the Army Chief, Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh Sunday directed party’s all activists to join relief operation immediately to save the flood-affected people. In a joint statement, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Maulana Matiur Rahman Nizami and Secretary General Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid expressed grave concern over the loss of life and property caused by the floods across the country.
They said most people in 47 districts have been affected in the flooding that left marooned lakhs of people and damaged huge standing crops. [Read more]
