Demolition of Rangs Bhaban at the city’s Bijoy Sarani area continued for the second day yesterday.
Though the demolition was scheduled to be started from 7:00am, it began somewhat later at 8:30am yesterday.
Dividing into seven different groups, some 350 workers employed by Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) started demolition of the building in two shifts yesterday.
With modern electric equipment and hammers and shovels, the workers yesterday started cuting roofs and demolishing of false ceilings, doors and windows inside different floors of the 22-storeyed Rangs Bhaban above the sixth floor of the building. [Read more]
