Urging all, irrespective of party affiliations, to come forward to help the flood victims, Army Chief General Moeen U Ahmed yesterday said political parties have remained aloof from launching relief operation under the plea of emergency only to damage the image of the government among the people.
“Bangladesh is now under water. Now we have only one task-help out the flood-affected people,” he said, adding that there was no embargo on political parties in carrying out relief operation to help the deluge-victims. [Read more]
