Toddler slips into pond, dies

A toddler drowned in a pond in Roshunia area of Sirajdikhan upazila on Wednesday.
Local people said Alisha, 2, daughter of Muktar Hossain of the area, slipped into the pond nearby the house while she was playing.
Later, locals rescued her and rushed to Upazila Health Complex where doctor declared her dead.
