Mashrafe returning home due to wife’s illness

Bangladesh ODI captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza left England for home as his wife Sumana Haque has been hospitalised since Saturday morning.
Mashrafe is expected to arrive in Dhaka around 11pm on Sunday, reports UNB.
Mashrafe boarded a flight from England on Saturday evening after hearing about the physical condition of Sumana that she was hospitaliased on Saturday morning as she suddenly fell sick and became senseless.
Talking to the media from Dubai, Mashrafe said, “She fell sick suddenly. She was to hospital.  Her sickness is not normal, I think. Now it’s essential to stay beside her. Although my family members suggested waiting and observing one or two more days before returning, I could have thought second time to return, if there was a schedule for match.”
Mashrafe’s men are now busy in a training camp in Sussex, England ahead of the Ireland Tri-nation series and ICC Champions Trophy 2017.
During their camp, the Tigers will play two friendly matches against Duke of Norfolk XI and Sussex XI Hove on May 1 and 7 before leaving for Belfast on May 7 to play the Ireland Tri-Nation Series starting on May 12.
Mashrafe will miss the first match of the Ireland Tri-nation series against the hosts as he was suspended for one ODI due to a slow over-rate during the third ODI against Sri Lanka in Colombo in early April.
The Tigers left home for Brighton, Hilton Metropole in England on April 26 and had their practice sessions at County Cricket Ground. [Read More]
