Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested three people along with gunsmith tools from a house in the Comilla city on late Saturday.
The arrestees were identified as Saiful Islam, 36, son of Nazrul Islam of Uttar Chartha, Majedul Haque, 34, son of Baharuddin of Shuvopur in the city, and Shahidul Haque Bhuiyan, 35, Shamsul Haque Bhuiyan of Golabari area in Sadar upazila.
Tipped off, a team of Comilla Crime Prevention Company-2 under Rab-11 launched a drive at a house in Shuvopur area of the city in the evening and arrested the trio with the gunsmith tools from the house, said the Company’s commanding officer Major Mostafa Kaizer.
At least two pistols could be made with the seized equipments, he added; according to a news agency.
