Mild tremor hits Chittagong

A mild earthquake has shaken the southern region of Bangladesh, including Chittagong City and the districts of Chittagong Hill Tracts.
According to US Geological Survey (USGS), the 4.7 magnitude tremor struck at 6:27am on Monday.
The quake’s epicentre was 21 kilometres southeast from Khagrhachharhi’s Manikchharhi, 22 kilometres north-northeast from Chittagong’s Raozan and 197 kilometres east-southeast from Dhaka. It was 10 kilometres deep.
No damage or casualties have been reported so far from the earthquake in the early hours, according to a news agency.
