New Zealand took place in the last four of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 when the Kiwis beat in-form South Africa by 49 runs in their quarter-final match at the flood-lit Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka on Friday.

Deciding to bat first New Zealand notched up a fighting 221 for the loss of eight wickets in the stipulated 50 overs and then they bowled out the Proteas for 172 off 43.2 overs.
