The Government withdrew the last case filed against seven students of Dhaka University during the caretaker government regime in connection with campus unrest.
First Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Ali Hossain yesterday passed the withdrawal order following a government petition.
The case was filed against the students on charges of torching an army car at Shahbagh intersection on August 23, 2007.
Dhaka Metropolitan Public Prosecutor Abdullah Abu submitted the petition before the court on Tuesday under the section 494 of criminal case. [Read more]
