At least 15,000 members of law enforcing agencies including Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), will be on alert in the city on the 31st night of December to rein in the New Year revellers.
“Stern actions will be taken against the troublemakers whoever they are during celebrations of the 31st night,” Home Minister Sahara Khatun said after a meeting with prison officials yesterday.
She said those who would create chaos at clubs or hotels during the New Year’s celebrations, will face stern actions. [Read more]
