US wants to see ACC work independently: Moriarty

The United States wants to see Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) work independently remaining free from any control.
US Ambassador James F Moriarty said this while talking to reporters after meeting with ACC Chairman Ghulam Rahman at his office on Thursday.
Asked to comment on the reported government move to bring amendment to the law to take ACC activities under its control, he said that he did not think the government would bring such amendment which would control the ACC.
“It will not be good for the people, if such amendment is brought,” the US envoy observed. [Read more]
