The government has taken initiative to build the second ‘Padma Bridge’ at Paturia -Daulatdhia point for smooth road communication from the capital to the southwestern districts.
The Ministry of Communication has finalised the Development Project Pro-forma (DPP). The construction of the bridge is likely to be started in the next fiscal year, well-placed official sources told the New Nation.
As part of its ongoing development efforts the government has started communication with the donor countries for financial assistance to construct the bridge, sources said. [Read more]
