Probe into poisoned food charge demanded

UNB, Dhaka

BNP leader Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain on Sunday said it is imperative to investigate whether poison was really mixed with the food served to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and opposition leader Khaleda Zia while in prison during the past interim regime.
He thinks such similar steps against both the leaders might have been linked with the so-called ‘minus-two’ formula.
He aired the apprehension while replying to reporters at a press briefing at his office in the city’s Segunbagicha area as he was asked about Deputy Leader of the House Syeda Sazeda Chowdhury’s public statement at a function that ‘food laced with poison” was served to Hasina while detained in a sub-jail.
