Detained mafia gang member Abdul Rouf Dawood Merchant and his two associates told the intelligence agencies during interrogation that the cohorts of dreaded international mafia don Dawood Ibrahim in Bangladesh were getting the patronage and shelter from three former ministers and some businessmen.
Merchant, who sneaked into Bangladesh from India about a month ago, was arrested by detective police from a village in Brahmanbaria on Thursday along with his two associates, one of them is a Bangladeshi national. [Read more]
