Some 117 government officials ranging from deputy secretaries to secretaries are currently officers on special duty (OSDs), Parliament was informed yesterday.
Replying to a question from independent member Fazlul Azim (Noakhali-6), LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Syed Ashraful Islam, in-charge of Establishment Ministry in Parliament, said that of the 117 OSDs, 9 are at secretary level, 31 additional secretary level, 43 joint secretary level and 34 at deputy secretary level.
