Rajshahi City Corporation Mayor-elect AHM Khairuzzaman Liton who is also General Secretary of Rajshahi City Awami League, Khulna City Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleque-President of Khulna City Awami League and Barisal mayor elect Shawkat Hossain Hiron also convenor of Barisal City Awami League have resigned from the party posts yesterday. Talking to the New Nation, Liton said he resigned from the party post because he wants to serve the people of Rajshahi with utmost sincerity.
