The Sri Lankan national AR Samontha Lake succumbed to his burn injuries at City Hospital here yesterday morning, raising the death toll of the incident to three.
He was fighting for life since the serial explosions at Hotel Orchard Plaza in the city’s Naya Paltan on Sunday.
Source said Samontha Lake, admitted to the High Dependable Unit (HDU) of the hospital’s burn unit following the Sunday night’s explosions in the hotel, died at about 7:30am.
Samontha, an information system auditor, came to Bangladesh on May 30 to monitor the bank activities in the country. [Read more]
