Different political parties, including the two giants-the BNP and Awami League, have started preparations to maximize friends with a view to win the next general elections.
Awami League (AL) Presidium member and Coordinator of the 14-party alliance Tofail Ahmed has said they were exchanging ideas with like minded political parties to form a grand alliance before the coming elections, while BNP (reformist) Acting Secretary General Major (retd) Hafizuddin Ahmed and (anti-reform) Joint Secretary General Nazrul Islam Khan expressed the optimism that they would be able to unify the party and nationalist forces before the polls.
