A senior police officer and two constables were arrested yesterday for
their alleged involvement in a robbery in the port city of Chittagong.
Assistant Commissioner of Police for Panchlaish Zone Abu Saleh Mohammad Mofazzel Haque and two constables-AC’s bodyguard Ehsanul Islam and driver Abdur Rob–were arrested for their alleged involvement in the robbery.
A team of Kotwali police, led by sub-inspector Abul Hossain, arrested the three from the AC’s office at Panchlaish thana compound at about 3:30am following a complaint over telephone by a businessman. [Read more]
