The Government is planning to hold both Parliament and local government bodies’ elections simultaneously.
Adviser for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Mohammad Anwarul Iqbal disclosed this yesterday while talking to the reporters after a workshop on management of possible social effects on implementation of development works at the LGED auditorium in the city.
The Adviser said the Government is also contemplating to bring about changes to hold both the elections together by the Election Commission (EC).
