Former Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina today fell sick in court during an indictment hearing on extortion charges against her.
Amidst tight security, Hasina appeared before the trial court to face an extortion charge of Tk 3 crore filed by a private power company chief executive, in the changed political context of the country under an interim regime.
She felt sick in the dock after 2 hours and 45 minutes at about 11:30am, as she is suffering from high fever.
