One Mahbubul Alam, an advocate, yesterday filed a defamation suit against former BNP Secretary General and LGRD Minister Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan and two others co-accused in a Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Court.
Metropolitan Magistrate Waliul Islam asked Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan and two others to appear before the Court on March 17, taking the case into cognisance.
The two others who face similar charges are former State Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives Ziaul Haq Zia and former LGRD Secretary MA Kashem. [Read more]
