Environment and Forest Adviser Dr CS Karim at a press conference in the city claimed that Bangladesh actively bargained with other countries for its rights in the Bali Conference on UN Climate Change.
“Representatives from Bangladesh was active in the conference and they tried to represent Bangladesh’ probable risk factors, adaptation experiences and devices to the world leaders. Achievement of Bangladesh was huge rather than its expectation,” he said and adding, “We will plan our mitigation and adaptation policy for the coming Copenhagen Conference, which will be held in 2009.
