The family members of detained Dhaka University teachers demanded their release before Eid-ul-Azha.
They said if the Government wants to release the detained teachers it can do it easily and unconditionally. But the teacher’s family will not appeal to the government for clemency should the need arise, sources said.
Hearing of a case was continuing while hearing of another case against the detained teachers will be held today.
The detained teachers are president of Dhaka University Teachers Association Prof Sadrul Amin, general secretary Prof Anwar Hossain, Dean of Social Science Faculty Prof Harun-or-Rashid and Prof Neem Chandra Bhoumik of Applied Chemistry Department. [Read more]
