The 44th anniversary of death of great leader Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy will be observed in the country in a befitting manner today (Wednesday).
Marking the day, the nation will pay rich tributes to the late leader who struggled through out his life for the cause of democracy.
Different political parties and socio-cultural organisations have taken up programmes to mark the day.
The programmes include placing of wreaths at the mazar of the late leader in the city paying homage to the late leader, discussion meetings and seminars, Quran khwani, doa and milad mahfil and distribution of food among the destitutes. [Read more]
