The UN assistant secretary general Jane Holl Lute arrives here today(Saturday) on a 3-day visit to see for herself some cyclone devastated areas and hold talks with government and military figures. During her stay in Bangladesh, the UN assistant secretary general will see the on-going relief activities.
Jane Holl will meet Foreign Advisor Dr Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury, Army Chief General Moeen U Ahmed, Principal Staff Officer Lt Gen Masud Uddin Chowdhury, give lecture at National Defence College and visit Rajendrapur cantonment. She will leave here on December 3. [Read more]
