UK charters planes to ferry relief supplies: Boats for fishermen arriving soon

British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Anwar Choudhury yesterday said it might take two to three months to restore normal life in the cyclone-battered coastal districts.
“My feeling is the it may take two to three months before the situation can be returned to normal,” he said while handing over relief goods to Chief of General Staff of Bangladesh Army Major General Sina Ibn Jamali at the old at Tejgaon BAF Helipad.
Anwar Chowdhury handed over some 45,000 litres of purified water, supplied by British business firm Duncan Brothers in aid of the cyclone. [Read more]
