Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Dr ATM Shamsul Huda yesterday rejected the possibility of the withdrawal of the invitation letter sent to reformist BNP leader Maj (Retd) Hafizuddin Ahmed for dialogue with the Election Commission (EC) on reform proposals.
The scheduled meeting with BNP (led by Saifur-Hafiz) on November 22 will remain unchanged, if any legal obstacle is not created, he said while talking to reporters at the commission.
He made it clear that there was no scope to change the decision. [Read more]
