Different political parties, cultural and student organisations observed ‘Shaheed Noor Hossain Day’ yesterday with a due solemnity and honour.
Top leaders of Awami League, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal and Gono Forum, and different cultural and student organisations placed wreaths at the Noor Hossain Square in the morning paying tribute to Noor Hossain.
Noor Hossain was killed in police firing at Zero Point now Noor Hossain Square in the city on November 10, 1987 in a procession during the anti-Ershad movement.
Since his depart Noor remained an inspiration for all who believe in democracy. [Read more]
