ADB lends $150m to fight corruption

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will provide US$150 million loan to Bangladesh for better equipping the Government functionaries in its fight against corruption and enable it to establish a system of good governance that will pave the way for more rapid economic growth.
The loan will be disbursed in three trenches over a period of four years for the Good Governance Programme. ADB will also extend US$1.5 million grant for a technical assistance programme that will enhance the capability of concerned agencies in implementing policy reforms and effectively manage the good governance programme.
