Four workers of a steel recycling mill have so far been killed and 16 others suffered burn injuries when a boiler of the mill exploded with bang here at village Banubazar in Sitakund Wednesday morning.
Though survivors claimed half a dozen causalities in the blast, no official source did support the figure. Police and mill neighbourhoods till the time of dispatching this report at 6:00 p.m. could confirm four casualties.
Sumon (20), Nasir (18), Sohrab (22), and Salam (35) - nightshift workers of the recasting unit of the mill - were among the victims. [Read more]
