Government is yet to decide on a proposal of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Ltd, the state owned airlines company, seeking fresh investment to keep it running.
The Biman needs to procure new aircraft immediately, as the number of its running aircraft has come down to four with the expiry of the lease of a DC10-30 aircraft The airline is unable to maintain schedules due to lack of aircraft as four of the aging fleet remain grounded of and on due to technical problems.
