Army Chief General Moeen U Ahmed yesterday said the army would take part in all post-flood rehabilitation work, including the reconstruction of roads and culverts with the civil administration to prevent corruption as happened in the past
“Army will join the civil administration in reconstruction of each road, bridge and culvert damaged by the floodwaters…We won’t allow any corruption in reconstruction works as happened in the past,” he told reporters while distributing relief goods among the flood-affected people remote and inaccessible char areas on the bank of river Meghna under Mirzarchar union in Raipura upazila of Narsingdi district yesterday.
