At least 226 people have been killed and about one crore people affected in this year’s flood so far. The flood has affected 38 districts out of the 64 of the country damaging crops on 11,67,518 acres of land.
Disclosing this at a press briefing, Adviser for Agriculture, Fisheries and Livestock Ministries Dr C S Karim yesterday said that people with political identities were not barred from undertaking relief activities. [Read more]
