Corruption and irregularities worth about 45 million US dollar took place in the Bangladesh Biman while leasing aeroplanes in last five years.
Bangladesh Biman incurs a huge amount of losses for maintenance and repairing of aeroplanes every year.
Since its inception Bangladesh Biman has been facing manifold problems due to weak administration, rampant corruption, non-transparency in financing and lack of short and long term planning. Their problem was also infrastructural one.
