Adviser for Food and Disaster Management Tapan Chowdhury yesterday reiterated that leaders and workers of any political party could engage themselves in relief work.
Briefing journalists at PID conference room, he, however, said BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia might not be able to visit the flood affected areas due to, what he said, security reason.
“There is no other problem; it is only the security reason,” he said adding that if the Ministry of Home Affairs gives her security clearance, she can stand beside the flood victims. [Read more]
