The European Union Troika yesterday offered to assist the government in its flood relief and rehabilitation programme.
The EU Troika made this offer when a 3-member delegation representing the EU Troika in Bangladesh, headed by Ambassador Kees Beemsterboer of the Netherlands, and comprising acting heads of the French and European Commission missions called on Foreign Adviser Dr. Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury at the Foreign Office here.
The foreign adviser apprised them of the measures being undertaken by the government to respond to the current flood situation. [Read more]
