Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Dr ATM Shamsul Huda yesterday reiterated that next Parliament elections must be held by December 2008.
“The elections cannot be delayed showing any excuse. The election work will be carried in accordance with the roadmap announced earlier by the commission,” he said while inaugurating a training programme for the election officials at Election Training Institute at Agargaon in the city
Not only the general election, the elections to the union parishads, pourasabhas and city corporations will also be held within this stipulated time, he further said. [Read more]
