Overall flood situation has worsened further in the country’s central region as the 21 small and big rivers are flowing above their danger levels at 29 points.
As many as 47, out of 64 districts of the country have gone under water, causing untold sufferings to thousands of people and destroying crops of thousands of hectares of lands.
Thousands of flood-affected marooned people in different have been facing acute shortage of cooked food, drinking water, medicine and other necessary things, including lanterns and kerosene oil. [Read more]
