The wealth of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has surpassed Tk 3.5 crore in monetary terms and her lawyer says the figure may rise further when the count completes to meet an Anti-Corruption Commission deadline for submiting her account of assets.
“Based on the information accumulated so far, it can be said that the worth of wealth possessed by the former Prime Minister has crossed Tk 3.5-crore mark. Couple of days still to go…There may be some addition to the figure,” Ahmed Aazam Khan, Khaleda’s lawyer, told UNB on Saturday afternoon. [Read more]
