The Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) starts demolishing major parts of the 22-storeyed Rangs Bhaban at Bijoy Sarani in the city this (Friday) morning after the Supreme Court delivered its ruling yesterday declaring the structures above the sixth floor built illegally.
After the pronouncement of the ruling by an Appellate Division bench of the Supreme Court, the Rajuk yesterday afternoon asked the users through loudspeakers to vacate their offices housed in all 16 floors of the building above the sixth storey as the city developer will start demolishing the concrete-made building from 7:00am today.
