Chitagong Polytechnic Institute has been closed sine die following a series of clashes between the supporters of rival groups of students hours before dawn today that left 43 people wounded.
Security people have so far picked up 25 students for questioning and three male dorms of the institute had also been vacated shortly after the incident
Sources said that rival groups of students locked into heated altercation and subsequent scuffling at about 1:30 a.m. allegedly over unpaid dining bill. [Read more]
