With further deterioration of flood situation across the country, some 20 million people have been marooned in 32 flood-affected districts, according to the reports received from our correspondents in different districts yesterday.
The overall flood situation is gradually taking serious turn as the water levels in all the major rivers have been rising and are flowing above their danger levels.
Officials at the Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) said yesterday that the flood situation throughout the country worsened further as the water levels in almost all the rivers of the country continued rising and were flowing above their danger levels. [Read more]
